Step 1

Build a strong foundation

Focus on grades, character, and consistent skill development. College coaches look at the whole athlete — transcripts, coachability, and leadership matter as much as talent.

Step 2

Research the right fit

Think beyond rankings. Consider school size, academic programs, playing level, location, and team culture. Build a realistic target list that matches your goals.

Step 3

Create a recruiting profile

Put together a clean, honest profile with your stats, GPA, graduation year, position, and contact info. Pair it with a short highlight reel that shows your best reps first.

Step 4

Reach out to coaches

Send personalized emails to programs you are genuinely interested in. Introduce yourself, share your film and schedule, and follow up with respect and patience.

Step 5

Attend showcases and camps

Get in front of college coaches at camps, combines, and tournaments. Let your club coaches know which events you are targeting so they can support you.

Step 6

Communicate and decide

Ask questions, compare offers, visit campuses, and talk with your family. Choose a program where you can grow as a player, student, and person.
